Celebrating the Little Things Tag

Hello there lovely readers.  I have been tagged in this tag by the lovely Beth from Reading Every Night. Thank you so much Beth – I adore your site and appreciate your support!

Who was your very first follower (if you can find out), tag them and give them a shout out!

My very first follower was Hannah at The Exponential Bookshelf all of 13 days ago (i.e. my very first day)! Thank you so much Hannah.  Your first follow made me think – yes, carry on with what you’re doing – it was just the encouragement I needed.

What was the last milestone you reached?

I reached 20 followers two days ago and I was astounded!  In just under two weeks 20 people have decided to follow my book reviews and, I admit, I did do a little ‘yay dance’ haha.  I am so appreciative of all the followers I have and everyone who bothers to read my posts, likes and comments on them.  I do love the commenters – my TBR pile keeps getting bigger and bigger as a result of the commenters! Thank you, genuinely, all of you who follow this blog.

What was the very first post you posted on your blog? Share it with us if you can find out.

My first blog post was on a book called The First Bad Man A Novel by Miranda July.  Reading it actually inspired me to get started on book blogging! I was so ‘affected’ by the book but not one of my friends had read it so I thought – hey, let’s ask the internet! I also got bit by the bug and posted another two posts on the same day: All That Man Is by David Szalay and The Vegetarian by Han Kang!!

Who was your most recent follower, tag them and give them a shout out!

My most recent follower is: The Lonely Reader who also book blog on a great diverse range of books.  Thanks very much for following – I hope you’re enjoying the posts!

What was the last post you posted and who was the very first person who took their time to click the like button?  Give them a shout out!

My last post was a bit different to the ones I normally do (i.e. about books).  This one was about a play I had gone to see and then read: Play Review: No Man’s Land by Harold Pinter.  The incredibly continuously supportive Not So Modern Girl liked the post.

How many months have you been blogging for?

Alas, not one yet!  I will hit my two week anniversary tomorrow!

Do you have any bloggers you’re friends with? Give them a shout out.

Unless the entire booking community counts as a friend then a ‘real life’ friend is my beautiful friend, Charlotte at Oi Vegan!.  If you’re vegan or you just enjoy amusing videos and posts give her a follow – she is HILARIOUS! Charlotte is also an actress and one my most supportive friends.  Love you Charl! mwah!

Who originally created the last meme or tag you participated in?  Give them a shout out!

My last meme was Top Ten Tuesdays: Ten Books I Wish Were Made Into Movies hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  I love this weekly meme and how they allow flexibility with the theme so you don’t end up reading the same post from different people.  The diversity of interpretation of the meme is what makes it the most interesting!

Have you any social media related to your blog?

Yep I do! I have both a Twitter account and an Instagram

Trying to figure out how to set up a FB page without it linking to my personal account – any ideas on how to do that bloggers??

Last but not least…Just give thanks to all your followers.

Team – in just under two weeks you have really inspired me to continue to blog.  Your likes, comments and tags are such a wonderful way of showing how welcoming the blogging community is.  I love how I have followers who are and aren’t book bloggers: that diversity is so wonderful.

I appreciate every interaction you have with my posts: I genuinely do (that ‘yay dance again…!).

Thanks to you all for reading my posts and continuing to support me.  All of the love!

Ruby xx
